Tips and tricks
- Key 'Q' is used to toggle info dialog (very important editing tool).
- Key 'Z' is used to toggle view selection (sometimes selection disables effective editing).
- Key '~' is used to cancel selection.
- 'Alt+~' is used to maximize or restore view under mouse.
- Use data tips. Point to object (entity, polygon, sector) in info mode to display information about it. Info mode is toggled with key 'I'.
- Key 'A' is used for aligning. It will either focus current selection (polygons, sectors, entities) or align selecting volume (operation Entity/Volume/Align: keys 'E'/'V'/'A').
- 'Shift+entity property shortcut key' will select certain entity property for editing.
- 'Ctrl+A' is to select all entities in volume (in volume mode) or to align primitive to currently viewed area.
- Keys 'Home' and 'End' are used for restoring two custom view position. Position is stored using 'Ctrl+Home' and 'Ctrl+End'. This is very usefull when moving between two different positions on the world frequently.
- 'Tab' and 'Shift+Tab' keys are used for 90 degree rotation. 'Arrows' rotate for 15 degrees. Rotation is performed logically in current view (view under mouse).
- Ctrl + Space + LMB zooms in 2x into clicked direction and centers clicked point, Ctrl + Space + RMB zooms out 2x. Use these operations for very easy world navigation.
- Keys '[ ' and ']' ' are used to circle between entities selected by volume box or selected with 'feed volume' button in select entities dialog.
